I worked there PT as a student on summer break, great for me because I only worked Thurs-Sun.
Pros
- Great summer job for students - Work all in-doors, with AC, helpful in summer - weekly pay - diverse range of products and events, I found some new things to try out personally
Cons
- event specialist job is only available part time, meaning you won't really get the hours you want if you're looking to make a lot of money. Some weeks events are extremely slow and there might not be work at all. - you mainly work independently, it may get boring standing at a booth on a slow day - lack of advancement - depending on your direct manager, communication system might be a bit broken. I've had two different managers before, and one of them has always been extremely difficult to reach (never responding to emails, not picking up the phone, not responding to voicemails). However, the other manager I had afterwards was great with emails and voicemails, but still didn't pick up the phone too often
