Pros

Part time hours. Work when available.

Cons

Even though it’s a part time job, certain times of the year they company demands full attendance without any additional pay/bonus. The top-level management is very far removed from the store atmosphere. The IT department needs a tremendous amount of updating. PAY RAISES ARE NON-EXISTENT. NO opportunity for job growth, promotion or recognition for hard work, etc. The company is adding more and more to the workload without compensation. Few opportunities to work more hours as they continually hire more people. Appears their mission statement is to have a yearly turn over rate so they don't have to give raises, etc, which also makes employees look elsewhere for work.

Pros

Entrepreneurial Great if you are a college student Lots of great opportunities to work with many different manufacturers Has national presence; you can transfer to another region if you work in the field amd likely to retain your job Always creating new teams

Cons

No clear career path Training is very limited; expect to learn from your peers Turn over is high especially at the lower level Very rare to move up to the very top; you either come in at a higher level, or you move up once and don't expect to move up again.

Pros

Very independent Decent pay You can be your own boss a lot of the time It's fun, how can you give out free samples and have people upset at you?

Cons

Very little room for growth Job can be confusing if you don't have someone competent teaching you Upper management is hardly ever around, and when they are they nitpick When I was working there, they fired the regional supervisor who was doing a great job and replaced him with someone totally incompetent
