      CSC - Stay away from the Federal Sector

      Pros

      If you can get into a good group/project, you may be able to survive for a while. If you have a good manager, you will have flexibility in work schedules and projects, but the "processes" are very difficult to work around.

      Cons

      The Federal Sector is not the place to be. There is no budget for training, conferences, certifications or any other form of technical advancement. You are on your own.

      It has many opportunities in technology consulting business. You can always find something to do if you are willing to travel.

      There are not a lot communication within the company.
