Pros

- Flexibility: You get flexible work timings. - Brand Name: The CSC Brand name is worth a lot. Not sure how long the brand name will hold value though. - Freedom: to switch profiles or work on stuff you like. Very tolerant that way.

Cons

- Senior Management is not transparent about decisions - Policy changes are made without giving any logical reasons - Compensation on an average is half of what the market offers - Rigidity in adapting to market standards - Performance and Loyalty are not rewarded. Company does not care one bit about old and faithful employees, and prefers to hire new ones instead - Now it almost feels like they are out to harass its employees

Pros

- The people are mostly very nice. - If you want to make a career out of working for CSC, you can. Many people on my project had been at CSC for 10, 20, or 30 years. - The company has good opportunities to move laterally to other projects and offices. Several members of my team did exactly that, and their new projects worked out well for them. I would consider rejoining CSC, given a better project. - They provide a good variety of free lunches and dinners during crunch times. - CSC has a great online training library, including a subscription to Books24x7. - CSC brought in some great consultants to help our struggling project. - Several of my managers did a fantastic job, considering the project's circumstances.

Cons

- Reorgs on my project were frequent and did not consider my skill set. - The annual turnover rate on my project was over 50%. Most staff that left cited frequently working nights and weekends as their primary reason for leaving. CSC employees that worked overtime were not paid for it, though subcontractors were. - Most of the project staff had low to very low morale. - Our office had a distracting work environment compared to the other places where I have worked. - Meetings took up most of the day and included many more people than they needed to. - Three rounds of layoffs, affecting CSC and subcontractors' employees, occurred on my project in about a 6-month period. Fortunately, most CSC employees stayed safe from this. - My performance review was done by someone that I didn't report to.

Pros

Compared to some of the firms I've worked in the past , CSC seems to be relaxed in its culture.

Cons

Unfair Management especially in Health Delivery, it's more of who you know rather than what you know You have to endure working with quite a few incompetent consultants and be prepared to cover for them, the sad thing is clients are not aware of this. Don't expect job security in this place, if the practice is slow, prepare yourselffor the bad news, they will let you go Preference for old FCG folks in terms of staffing a project, they are priority not necessary the most skilled Discrimination is so blatant in this place esp in Health Delivery, one consultant was place on an interim position at a large hospital who knew nothing about this area over someone who was more experienced just because this person was a female and asian
