      Worst Place for a IT Professional

      Pros

      Outside of the U.S. very well known and respectable company.

      Cons

      This would be the armpit of IT and or the place to go and end your IT career. No raises of any kind over the course of several years. Poor life/work quality. client expectations so high, unable to enjoy any family time or vacation.

      Good company to work for if you are a lower level employee and looking for a flexible schedule

      Cons

      Raises are rarely given to existing employees who have dedicated themselves for years to this company, if they are given they are not nearly in line with cost of living increases. Management is so thin that they are completely bogged down with projects, and unable to truly manage team members which isn't fair to the team members who otherwise could have had a chance of progressing in their careers.

      Comments specifically reflect experience working for internal operations in Falls Church. -- Colleagues among the most knowledgeable, dedicated and loyal that I've ever met at any company I've worked for and with. Their tolerance for pain, pressure, and unnecessary complexity and red tape is higher than their executive leadership is aware of and certainly deserves. The business operations folks are not given nearly enough respect for holding the back end of the company together. for so many years despite antiquated infrastructure and lack of reinvestment back into the company. Pleased that the NPS team has broken off and given the opportunity to be successful as a separate entity.

      Again, comments specifically reflect experience working for internal operations in Falls Church. -- Outdated infrastructure, non-standardized and non-documented policies and processes, convoluted business acquisition strategies, executive "finger pointing" and infighting have crippled the company. After contributing years of blood, sweat and tears, many of CSC's most loyal have finally had enough and are walking away.
