Pros
The ability to work from home or anywhere where there was an internet location. My mother was ill so I went to California and worked from there for two weeks without issues. So long as I got up at 5 a.m. and got the job done, everything was fine. Last work review was Excellent. I was happy with my starting salary and then I was told that there were never any pay raises - ever. But, the pay was good and I was happy.
Cons
Knowing that, from previously being laid off by CSC, that another Lay Off any day was possible. And it happened after another merger. Not to just me but to my bosses and other contemporaries. Also, you could tell the company was financially unstable when they made ALL employees use up any accrued and future vacation time before March 31st so it would look better on their balance books to potential buyers. SCARY!
