Pros

This company offers a lot for it’s employees, including opportunities for growth, benefits and PTO for full time employees, and additional services like mental health and financial management aid. It might depend on what center you work at (not to mention whether you work at the center level at all), but I have found my supervisors to be very supportive and invested throughout my entire time working with the company. You also don’t need an array of qualifications to start, just a high school diploma or GED for most center level positions (besides medical staff), and they will provide training for certifications like CLIA or phlebotomy or BLS.

Cons

There isn’t a lot of wiggle room within the way compensation rates work to receive a raise unless there is a specific reason, like receiving a promotion or an annual raise or bonus, though there are opportunities for those things. It can be frustrating working with the occasional donors who are under the impression that the donation compensation or their eligibility to donate is a given, or individuals that don’t understand how highly regulated the industry is. Sometimes, given how large the company is, there can be a disconnect between regional or higher level management and those working on site.
