Pros
People and staff are generally friendly. Facilities are better than most place. Student genuinely want to learn.
Cons
Like any public institution, job security is generally uncertain. Pay is horrible, but benefits are ok. If you are a student worker, the benefit is the convenience and that's it. Admin for any department can be crooked in their decision making and for a university, there are time in which students and faculty are put second after self-interests of admins or state officials.
