If you want to be motivated, competitive, and appreciated for working extra hard, this is not the right place for you. If you enjoy working in a slow paced, repetitive, unchallenging work environment with no expectations to get higher pay nor advancements, this is the position for you. 2. Lower pay compared to other colleges, universities and public sectors in SoCal. 3. Most people stay until retirement. There is no cross-trainings for career development, so you will be stuck at the same position for a long time, unless you could move up to higher positions at a different department. You could also use current position and experience as stepping stones for better opportunities elsewhere. 4. Employees must pay for parking, and parking is a major problem.
