Faculty are not diverse enough--still too many white males! Unflexible schedules for staff Limited opportunities for growth due to CA state budget crisis Union controlled raises for staff--union hasn't negotiated a raise for staff in over 4 years Business model in an educational setting Very little staff recognition by management

Great medical, dental and good vision plan. Paid vacation and other leaves. Great Staff, management is overall fair, this a relaxed University environment.

Cons

Job turn over is low, which is a good thing, but it makes it difficult to promote, often times, staff staff in the same positon for 5 or more years. To make matters worse, the CSU has failed to keep a close distance to cost of living.
