Great benefits, free tuition, great if you're family oriented because they allow time to tend to your family if needed. My department allows me to further my career if I need to.

Cons

No room for growth, the pay sucks and ITCs pay scale is all over the board, no consistency. You can find someone with an ITC classification making close to six figures while you'll see some barely pushing 50k a year. Be prepared to do mandatory volunteering over the weekend.
