Pros

Pay ranks high, at least for jobs in Florida. Training, people, Corp mission statement all seem great - in the beginning.

Cons

Politics as usual. You are expected to take some sort of initiating abuse from some of the long time co-workers = peers. This perspective is in "Management" - Non-Union position. Depending on which Regional Team you're lucky or unlucky enough to be placed in. My experience was not good as management tolerated some employees to be unprofessional, rude, and even abusive to new employees trying to learn the antiquated computer systems. I had zero support during very stressful time. Phone calls were nonstop. Service failures were plentiful. Have nerves of steel, love call center and customer complaints, and thrive in politics and favoritism, then this is the dream job for you!

Pros

Great pay and benefits for train and engine service

Cons

Supervisors in the field often have little to no experience in railroad operations. This creates a severe problem in convincing labor that the corporation is actually concerned in improving any process.

Pros

All compensation programs, including, basic pay, railroad retirement, bonus, 401K match. Smart connected coworkers, willing to help with anything, safety focused at every level, workload is extreme where you must be at your best every day, professional dress, Senior management are easy to talk with.

Cons

Mangers take EVERY LITTLE error and mistake and blow it out of proportion. They spend 99% of the feedback time on the 1 % of mistakes. They spend 1% of the feedback time on the 99% positives. Dont worry about what other supervisors think about your employee.
