      Pros

      CSX's new executive team has improved the company's operating ratio significantly, thus causing a huge uptick in CSX's stock price. So, if you own their stock...you are happy. Lol. Also, Jim Foote may be the company's next CEO. If that happens, that's a positive thing, because he is more employee-focused than Hunter Harrison.

      Cons

      Fear-based environment. No job security. A bully for a CEO who appears to only care about himself and Wall Street investors - not people.

      Pay and Benefits yearly raise

      Never knowing if you will be furloughed from one week to the next. I have worked on call and rarely seen my family for the last eight years . DONT WASTE YOUR TIME CSX IS NOT THE JOB IT WAS IN THE PAST! Living in limbo of will you stand for a job from week to week able to provide for your family, all the while getting called out on your rest exhausted daily working your butt off. CSX sucks the life out of you and gives nothing in return. Happy Holidays!!

      Pros

      Good pay, good retirement, decent health insurance. Being outdoors instead of a factory environment. Work with different people everytime.

      Cons

      No life, can't make any plans and hope to keep them, very hard on your family and your health. Payroll steal from you and you have to watch your check like a hawk and fight for every nickel.
