      One of the largest companies in Jax and a leader in the railroad transportation industry. Good benefits such as railroad retirement

      Cons

      Male dominanted company with virtually no women in senior leadership roles. Techinally sound but in need of growth in that area

      Great pay But......

      Pros

      The pay, beneifits, and retirement are great, no college education required, free health and wellness programs, great comradarie among co-workers.

      Cons

      No family life, on call 24/7 365 days a year, being laid off for extended periods. Managers are now hired out of college, instead of coming up through the ranks. They have no knowledge of the operations, equipment, or personal they are required to supervise. Constant fear of losing your job over small rules infractions. Pay raises are not keeping up with inflation. After 6 months of training, you have all the responsibilities of a 5+ years conductor at 80% of the pay.

      Pros

      the pay was good and the work was easy once you learned all the rules and some pretty cool discounts

      Cons

      its based on seniority and you can be furloughed when it get slow the union really doesn't do anything for you either and you have to be in it
