Management doesn't have a clue on how to run a railroad. Over worked, no raise in 5 years. Workforce is less than a skeleton crew. Management take no ownership when things go haywire, T&E crews are the scapegoat. Quality of life was never great because its a 24/7 operation, we had certain perks that kind of made things more bearable but the Company got rid of those things. It's got to the point where the pro aren't worth it unless you have lots time invest.

All I can say to anyone that thinks they want to work here is run, RUN like the wind. You will be furloughed multiple times in your career. They overload you with work if your a good worker, while others that won't work, well they ignore them (keep loading your work horses). Management treats employees poorly no respect at all. Company hold employees to a strict set of rules and ethics codes, wanting to fire you all the time, but the same rules and ethics policies DO NOT apply to management. If you have a family, forget them. CSX expects you to not have a personal life.
