Pros

I honestly have nothing good to say about the company.

Cons

I was offered a position after my interview with the recruiter who yawned continuously throughout my interview. I was told my days off would be Mondays and Tuesdays. I asked about a trip I had planned and she told me I would have to talk to my supervisor once I was hired. Changed the trip to my new days off. A week later, before starting I received a letter that my days off changed . Go to training, what a joke!!!!! They give you so much information and tell you that if you don't want to quit everyday, there is something wrong. They tell people to "retrain" their bladders because once out of training, you won't be able to go very often. People were dropping like flies in the class. People had enough of their empty promises. After the last break of the day, they get a clipboard and call people in to a conference room to talk to them about taking too many pee breaks or telling them bogus information that never even happened. They spend no time training you to answer calls, through you on calls and then the trainers give you no help. The best part is they need to send this class home to begin taking calls, because they had to rehire a new class to fill all of our vacancies.

Pros

Work is left at work. No charting while at home. A good starting place for new grads but be careful the orientation is minimal

Cons

Providers have to do it all. They are responsible for ordering and stocking supplies, cleaning the floors, walk the aisles and bring in customers, etc. They are asking the providers to become salespeople instead of health care providers. Work every other weekend Now they will not give holiday pay for Christmas and New Years eves Have other required none paid holidays Asks too much of the providers without incentives Reduced CME time from 4 days to 3 High turnover rates possibly because of the above Raises are based on metrics that the providers cannot control

Pros

Work from home as a manager or educator. These roles are cushy for the most part and very autonomous. Still get a decent salary & nice bonus if your team performs or the company does well overall for the year. Travel has been cut significantly so more time is spent on a computer or phone but it's paid for and time is more flexible if you have a family or friends. As long as your team performs, clinics stay open and you keep your head down you can function independently.

Cons

The executive team cannot figure out the best way to run the company. Over the past 5 years managers have had to re-apply and re-interview for their positions. This is a nice way for the executives to "restructure" and "reorganize" avoiding any HR complaints as they put their friends or those that brown nose them into management roles. Positions are pre-determined and the reapplying and interviewing is for show only. If you don't "drink the cool aide" or you question anyone or anything or if you directly question a person in a director position or higher, you will be out. Even if your points are valid. They value those that completely support their mission with blind eyes and no thoughts of their own. As long as you look good, have the corporate talk down and schmooze the right executives you are in. If not start looking for a new role because the reorganization happens every 2-3 years as they try to figure it out. The benefits have also changed dramatically. CME reimbursement and time off to attend decreased and insurance options changed to even worse with high deductibles. If you work for MinuteClinic long term be prepared to start over as a FNP. Many employers are either not familiar with MinuteClinic or if they are feel that it is a joke and basically do not even consider it experience.
