      not so bad

      Pros

      good place to be a family nurse practitioner for those who need solid support and a well thought out framework to work within. Great autonomy, can do job for your shift and go home and not think about it ubtil you go back for next shift. Computer charting is fantatic - especially compared to the Take Care system. Solid management. A lot of communication from corporate. Seem to listen to the providers ideas/gripes/suggestions.

      Cons

      Too much corporate stuff - I don't want to do the job of an MBA or marketing manager. A little too much restriction on what an NP can do as far as making a clinical decision as we are trained. Collaberative MD's not always a good fit.

      Pros

      Its a job that pays the bills. The store level employees are nice, freindly and hard working. Most are reasonably competant in their duties.

      Cons

      Disrespect from senior managent. Exccessive pressure and stress on retail staff. Inconsistant standards and expectations. Failure of senior management to follow through. Failure of the senior management to listen to workers in regard to both process efficiency, operational effectiveness and saftey.

      Pros

      Well, job security is a big pro. Benefits are great. Employees for the most part are respectful and most often courteous.

      Cons

      Pay is something to be desired because the yearly raises are down right horrible at my store 2% to 4%. The Corporate Office system is very confusing (e.g. totally automated) The customers are often disrespectful and sometimes cruel.
