      Pros

      When it was just Caremark, it was a great place to work. Very friendly, great policies, and management that cared.

      Cons

      After CVS purchased Caremark, it all went downhill. All senior Caremark managment was fired, oops I mean they decided to retire. They outsourced payroll and HR to Manila, so we could never get questions answered from someone who speaks English. They didn't pay us on time because it was so screwed up. Benefits were affected too; it was a 3-5 day wait for an answer if it wasn't an emergency...and an emergency was someone dying and nothing less. And they just didn't care.

      Appreciative Customers, Hardworking Coworkers, Benefits comparable to other retail pharmacies.

      Cons

      Endless new pharmacy initiatives with no basis in real-world healthcare. Management continually scales back resource to the point of unbearable working conditions. Micromanagement is at an all-time high. It's one thing to be micromanaged by people who know what they are doing, it's destructive to be micromanaged by people who don't.

      If you are a hard worker and willing to work retail flex hours, there are opportunities for advancement at the store level.

      Cons

      Recent cutbacks in number of operating hours available and end of year performance increases has decreased the level of service provided and increased work load per employee.
