Overall Good Company, With Tons of Opportunities If You're Willing To Work Hard
Pros
CVS is a fair and progressive company that provides unlimited opportunties. I was able to move from a cashier position into a store manager position in just 3 years, with no college degree. They are generally good to their employees. Benefits were the best I've had in any company (in terms of health insurance, bonuses, etc.). Upper management were willing to accept new ideas and suggestions, which is one of their core values, and I felt they embrassed this value, along with every other. I once had a problem with my direct supervisor, and with one call to his supervisor it was quickly taken care of with no negative impact on me.
Cons
There were sometimes very long hours, and long weeks. I frequently had to work anywhere from 60-80 hour weeks. It was also hard to arrange time off, at least when a Store Manager without an Assistant Manager since I had to lineup help from other stores.
