Pros

Great Discount...Nice job to have while working while in school etc...If you like working one on one with customers this is a great opportunity to make a difference in their life. It varies from store to store but the volume varies and it is nice to have a change. if you move it is also pretty easy to transfer to another store if they are in the location you are moving to.

Cons

Management not always responsive to employees...Management sometimes does not respect that CVS is not on the priorities of their employees lives. They believe that CVS should be their number one priority since it is theirs.

Pros

They pay you. There aren't any others. The stock option is ok, but they lock it down, and you can't move your money readily. It's a bad time to talk about 401k's in general.

Cons

Too many to list. All the problems of working for a publicly owned company with none of the benefits. Very little interaction with managers, an unwillingness to take action on issues that actually matter, little passion, and much desire to avoid real responsibility. Almost no encouragement or motivation that isn't a transparent motivational ploy.

Pros

The co workers and relationships you can make. As long as you have a good manager, the work will be easy. When working over the summer I made alot of friends and had a great manager who made sure that I did everything right by giving me good training. As long as you go in willing to work and listen to the manager you will do fine.

Cons

At times the hours and working conditions. During the back store stocking in the summer, the stock room can be alittle hot and humid. To make up for this you can usually dress down in the back when managing the stock. In addition to this some of the work is'nt very fun like taking out the garbage but it's a summer job can't expect much glamour.
