*EXTREMELY* UNDERSTAFFED. This is the sole reason I left this job. I believe that all the metrics that they make Pharmacy Managers solely responsible for are probably attainable, but only if given adequate staff; but this would include some pharmacist overlap in the busier stores if you want to get these scripts ready for patients safely--something, of course, they won't do. My supervisor was a nice enough guy, and I think his job also probably sucks in its own way, but making me get on conference calls on my mornings off to hear about all the metrics the district isn't reaching was outlandish. They need to start listening to their workers; no one wants to stay with the company, and only do if there is no other option.
Oh, another thing: I said the pay was good, but it's not good in terms of the pay differential between staff RPh and PIC. You have so much more responsibility as Pharmacy Manager, and this isn't even to mention the whole day meetings they occasionally make you go to, unpaid of course--considering this, I probably made less per hour as pic than as a staff pharmacist. Gotta love how they pee on your leg and tell you it's raining.
