Pros
As long as you discuss with your manager and they approve, you have a good degree of freedom on how you work, what to focus on, and when to deliver. There are external requests and constraints, but you can explain how you would (or not) address them and why. You can also set your own work-life balance.
Cons
There are always short of resources. More work than I can actually carry out (which my manager understands).
