Stable, mandatory shutdowns and forced vacations good for work-life balance, products compete in duopoly environment with high profit margins, good pay packages, generous benefits and 401K.
Cons
Too much focus on cost-cutting, not enough compute resources to get job done, finance-driven top management, engineering executive influence is not strong. Bureaucratic blockages due to long-tenured employees. Departments compete so opportunities for synergies are few.
