Pros

-The kids are so loving and their parents are very supportive! -You can pretty much do what you want with your class if allowed -Free food

Cons

-Unorganized/uninformed upper management -Kids get moved from class to class daily -If one teacher is out, it's chaos -No training -No communication between staff -Uniform look required (khakis) which isn't ideal for teachers who are active with their kids -Teachers who gossip everyday -Pay is low, expectations high -Minimum support from other staff and upper management -Sometimes no lunch break -If you're not feeling good, you can't leave

Pros

The children are always the pro in this situation. When you get a classroom with competent teachers who have either been trained properly or simply come with the experience the classroom works.

Cons

The administration and the company corporate are more concerned about the money aspect of the business and don't actively communicate with teacher. Last minute children, no cleaning supplies, being required to stay past your scheduled time and being reprimanded for attempting to hold people to their jobs and responsibilities. Especially the director and assistant director. Expect to be lied to, to your face, and when you call the bluff, expect to be threatened with insubordination. Many teachers have struggled to improve the school and working for years with no real avail. The corporate entity is a major issue, and they need to restructure the way they address and communicate their checks and balances to make sure that the proper problems are being resolved instead of brushed under the rug.
