Pros

Has potential but will never meet it with the current management team.

Cons

High school mentality. Good old boys network. Outdated management. They encourage backstabbing and negatively. This is just not a good place to work. Corporate in Glendora is a revolving door. Divisions may have decent local management which explains some of the good ratings here but overall this is not a place where you want to invest time in building a career. Management likes to appear "green" but read up on this place and learn for yourself how they dumped toxic substances on the ground and waterways because they are too cheap to dispose of properly. Allen Gamble is an idiot who has no class or professionalism.

Pros

Pay is $32.00 an hours once you reach 900 hours. Before that pay is $15.00 per hour. a few nice older long-time employees. Some of management are reasonable people to work for. It's easy work for the pay. If you can drive a truck to the site without spilling and push a few buttons, that's about all you need a brain for.

Cons

Coworkers can be back-stabbers with no substantiated grounds. A good ole boys culture. There is no formal training program. Rather they have other drivers train you on the job. A lot of it comes down to if they like you or not, not so much your stellar performance. It is DEFINITELY a union mentality and if you don't follow the herd/crowd you will be ostracised and blackballed. some employees think they are gods gift to the ready mix world. You have to maintain 40 hours to get at least medical insurance and 80 hours per month to get dental and vision coverage. Due to the nature of the construction business, you may not get but 20 hours a week if you're lucky.
