      Pros

      Lots of neat opportunities for working in different regions on projects around the state. The work is tough, hours are long, but you feel like you're doing something positive.

      Cons

      Not every Corpsmember, or Supervisor for that matter, cares about conservation. Do research on the center you apply to and listen to your recruiter if they don't think a certain center aligns with your goals.

      Pros

      One of the most rewarding jobs as a stepping stone to find a career right for you. It will step you out of your comfort zone and explore California while making a difference.

      Cons

      “Hard work, Low pay, Miserable conditions and MORE” The work can be strenuous and leave you sore which is important to condition yourself and gain healthy habits. During bad weather conditions you will be called on to support the state during floods and fires. Immaturity and lack of discipline leads to bad influences on other Corpsmembers which hinders their potential.
