Calix has embraced the work from anywhere culture. It is successful because employees have the tools and resources needed to not only fulfill our job responsibilities but also stay connected, collaborate effectively, and grow. The work from anywhere culture is a huge perk as it allows me to be extremely productive and not have a long commute to an office. I personally am thankful for this as it allows me to spend the time I would have spent commuting with my family and working on my health and wellness. Calix is fast paced and everyone is very engaged. The collaborative environment fosters positivity and teamwork across the entire organization as we each work to improve every day! Teams collaborate virtually as well as in person at events. My role is challenging and fun at the same time. Not only am I able to work for an outstanding company, I have the opportunity to work in an industry with customers that I personally care about. In my personal experience, Calix cares about employees, their professional and personal growth, and well-being. The onboarding process is exceptional and more thorough than any other onboarding I have experienced. The benefits are plentiful and not only include the basics such as 401K and health insurance but also a plethora of work from home benefits, wellness benefits, and employee resource groups where you can connect with employees who share common interests such as cooking and fiction book lovers.

Being able to work remotely (what we call work from anywhere) and still feel like part of the team is great. We collaborate via Teams and Zoom and don't even have an old-school desk phone. When you need some help, collaboration usually happens quickly and in real-time. There is good work/life balance with unlimited PTO and we value everyone's time. We even have days set aside each quarter for recharge and productivity. These are used get away from the meeting filled days and take a break to become more productive. With a quarterly release cadence, we find ways to work efficiently to meet our goals without being micromanaged. Communication doesn't happen in silos as we are all in this together to win.
