A manager - Can't tell more because they will guess out who I am

Pros

Good industry because not too many companies making optic network devices and the competition is relatively low.

Cons

- Very high turnover rate since 2014, hired around 10 new VPs and replaced or left about 5. About 5 directors were hired and then fired within less than a year. - Most political company I ever seen - when they don't like someone, they will make rumors to blacken him/her. - Horrible system test and automation team - they don't know how to reject unreasonable requirement and they can't find valuable bugs using minimum resources. They wasted too much money on outsourcing.

Crazy leadership with inflated egos

Cons

Politics and inflated egos abound -all levels of management. Very chaotic , business partners that don’t own mistakes and will rewrite history to cover their behind

We have not raised our medical benefit costs for employees in the last 5 years! We have made it through our Company's transformation and are grateful we can now focus on the opportunity in front us. 1. We're on the verge of a significant breakthrough and being a leader of even a small part of that makes up for most of the negatives of constant disruption (both internally and externally). 2. Great sales team that partners well w/the rest of the business - including marketing. 3. Willing to take a difficult path to stand out in the often 'bland' world of communications service providers. 4. Calix has an incredible foundation of customers that are helping fuel the global growth. 5. Flexible conditions, small but focused and collaborative teams, risk-takers.

Cons

1. No formal development focus for most employees. 2. While work-life balance has improved, it remains a challenge. 3. Need to streamline processes with so many new functions within Calix and eliminate overlaps between some roles
