      Pros

      Calpine has great opportunities for those who like a challenge - there are still some legacy employees that have not embraced the positive change and transformation over the past 5 years that this company has undertaken - benefits are exceptional

      Cons

      employees who are not dedicated and manager's dont hold accountable bring rest of organization down - there is a lot of medeocre employees that coast

      Pros

      The company is very employee friendly (maybe sometimes a little too friendly). The present management has provided order and appropriate direction for a young company such as Calpine, and at the same time making available great benefits and opportunities for those looking. The company has still preserved the idea of flexibility in job roles and responsibilities.

      Cons

      When it comes to fleet operations, the company is not taking full advantage of the size of its fleet. We continue to suffer from having to reinvent the wheel, as well as not thoroughly investigating and communicating issues. Granted these are growing pains for any young company, but at some point and emphasis has to be placed improvement from within.
