      The CEO, Thad Hill, is leading in the right way

      Pros

      Fun place if you actually like what you do and like being able to take on challenges. Thad Hill and the management team keep a flat organization (which is great) with a down to earth culture. The people are great and 'bad-actor' personalities don't survive long. Good pay and benefits.

      Cons

      If you only want to do what is listed on a job-description, this probably isn't the place for you. Workload can be intense, depending on where you are in the company.

      Calpine is a great start of a career. As CIS analyst, a prospect candidate can acquire in-depth knowledge of power trading and power markets.

      Cons

      Noise, stress, imbalance between personal life and work. Frequent workflow interruptions. It feels as mid-executive management fails to retain quality personnel.
