Pros

There wasn't that much good about this place, I was very relieved to get out of there.

Cons

-Hands down the worst culture I have ever seen, and am pretty sure I will ever see. The type of place where your teammates will talk crap about someone when he/she leaves the desk for 5min to get a cup of coffee. -Profanity & dirty language are the norm. -No career training or continuing education. -Work load is beastly; I felt sorry for lots of the people there, and questioned how they stay married? -Their 24hr desks, which at most companies are staffed by 12 people, thus allowing for adequate training, relief, and a good work life balance, are staffed by only 3-4 people. -Towards the end of my tenure they they tried to institute a training week for the 24hr desks, but ended up with a dumpster fire of a solution: One lucky person on their week off will come in "train" on all nights, all weekends and all holidays. Though there was no set training to be had...This was their solution/punishment for a training week. -Did I mention the work life balance is deplorable?

Pros

This is the first job that i had where the 15min breaks are actually scheduled in. They work with you and train you to be the best you can be rather than writing you up for mistakes. The company also feeds us on training days where we would go on a training meeting when it is our lunch time.

Cons

Its a call center for an energy company, so you will get those upset customers that are rude and want an answer immediately. as long as you are able to handle them and provide them the information they are looking for its not hard at all but alot of patience is needed. adherence is one thing we dont have much control over, for example lunch is at 12 but right before it hits 12 you get a call that last 10 min, youll be then out of adherence for the time you were supposed to go to lunch and that effects you (adherence is for scheduling along with performance)

Pros

Coworkers at the plants are good people and easy to work with. Benefits are goodish, but they are on the downward spiral. Safety is a very high priority. Overall a comfortable place to work.

Cons

Wages are below average in the SF-Bay area even after the cost of living increase in 2015. Plant staff has to commute over an hour at the minimum to work, because no one can afford to life close to the plants. Budgets at some of the bay area plants are so low that most maintenance can't be performed. As a result of this we just keep putting duct tape over bandages until it blows up and the staff get blamed. Really bad training program for Instrumentation Controls Tech's

Pros

Very nice environment to work in. Company tries to promote a professional and relaxing atmosphere. It's a good place to start a career in the industry.

Cons

Training and career development has a lot to be desired. Inexplicable favoritism seems to becoming an issue.

Pros

Good career experience Good benefits and decent compensation.

Cons

Training Is poor. Career progression is existent but not well thought out. Promotion compensation is subjective and barely keeps up with inflation Rules don't apply to management and are bypassed to get what management wants. The people making the company run are of course treated to worst. Good ole boy mentality

Pros

Fast paced, flexible hours and friendly atmosphere . There is a lot of training via web ex so travel is reduced . I attribute my success to having been on many committees allowing my input to shape others in a positive way. There are seasoned coworkers who gladly help out and advice is just a call away to another plant.

Cons

You will feel overloaded at times mainly due to the staffing which is rigid. It's a fast pace environment during the 1st 16 days which means your vacations are after the 15th of the month.
