Pros
The PhD students and postdocs in Caltech is super smart, hardworking, creative, and resourceful. They are surprisingly friendly, helpful, and always willing to collaborate. The environment is really great for science, research, and collaboration. Also, I was surprised to find that they also give good benefits. I have Roth IRA account from working at Caltech.
Cons
The campus itself is small, so Caltech doesn't have big core facilities like other big institutions. Also, since Caltech is such a renowned institution, I still feel pressured to bring my A game, especially as a postdoc.
