      Pros

      I have a great team of coworkers. Almost everyone has been a pleasure to work with. The dress code is casual, and the work / life balance is great. Benefits are fantastic, including both health coverage and retirement benefits.

      Cons

      As with all research, funding can be a problem. You never know if the project you work for will be funded for the next cycle. If not, you might be out of a job. Compensation has been below industry average, but the benefits and work / life balance make up for it (for me).

      Pros

      It's a great place to learn, everyone is nice, small classes, etc. It's really cutthroat sometimes, but the campus and surroundings are beautiful

      Cons

      Can be a little too intense. The social life can be lacking at times for sure. Being close to Los Angeles may be a con for some.
