The benefits are good; there is good job security. Generally good people who work there. Small town feel and community

Pros

People are friendly & make you feel like one of the family. Pay is not great but if your looking for a fun place to work & the benefits of free golf its your place.

Cons

Pay could be better or ins benefits offered.

It's okay, but sometimes frustrating

Pros

If you're local, it's nice to not have a long commute. In general people are friendly. Working for local government lets you feel like you are helping the community somewhat.

Cons

Sometimes there is too much gossip and favoritism. Deserving people frequently get passed up for promotions in favor of people who are friends with the hiring staff member. It seems the people who work the hardest get dumped on and the people who just do their regular jobs get rewarded.
