Working at Cambria is like being on the TV show- I survived a cult!
Pros
Product training and Cambria education was drilled into you,
Cons
Everything else! Working there for 3 years, I feel as if I could be on the TV show, I survived a cult. When I started I absolutely loved my job! Shame on me for doing well at my job because Cambria punishes the hardest workers and sales earners. It’s never a “race to the bottom” (Cambria’s lingo justifying the cost of the product) … except when it comes to salaries and responsibilities put on their sales reps. They start you out doing a role, before you know it you’ve taken on so many new responsibilities and territories because you were great a your job. Once it’s about time to maybe give you a raise, for the MASSIVE amount of work they had you doing. Spending weeks away from your family… for the “Cambria family”. I grew my sales year after year in a super hard market, but like many people before me. They let me go. So instead of paying you for a job well done, you’re told one day you don’t have a job. When asked why? HR will tell you they don’t have to tell you. Then they’ll really thank you by fighting your unemployment or workman’s comp that you worked every day of while dealing with major issues— because you care. They thank you by denying you a severance, fighting paying you a measly unemployment wage and will fight you for anything you try to do to pay your mortgage. Additionally- they may even rub it in by leaving their work vehicle in your driveway for over a month. I feel sorry that I ever supported a company like this. It makes me sick knowing what they’re doing to their “Cambria family”!
