Do not work in the Le Sueur Factory

Pros

I would not recommend working here.

Cons

Unsafe work environment. Poor air quality due to silica dust and many near miss incidents. High turnover in production staff frequently due to systemic manufacturing failures. Production has an inability to meet production numbers. This leads to shortcuts being passed from one shift to another shift causing further unexpected delays, repeat. Retaliatory and openly hostile production management.

Treated like family in family-owned company

Pros

I have been with Cambria for over 10 years and would assure all that I see nothing but great concern for the many that count on the existence of this company to not only provide for their families, but also provide an environment for their professional growth. The integrity inside this company is unlike any I have seen before, which makes me conclude the negative comments on this site come those that have not had such integrity, rather are sourced from "sour grapes" mentality after being let go for lack of performance. My fellow employees count on me to perform my job well and I count on them to do the same. When we don't, the health of our organization is jeopardized and all in the company, and their families, suffer. I love this company and the integrity, comradery and challenge it brings to me every day. The culture here at Cambria is really good and the many, many long-term employees are very positive.

Cons

May not be a good fit for those without passion for details.

Pros

Its an ok place to work. The bathrooms are usually clean. Taking time off is pretty easy. Generally fairly easy work and machines are kept up with a good maintenance staff.

Cons

The most irritating thing i found while working there is there is a huge drug problem and even when told, management does/did nothing. People regulary deal and use drugs inside the building. Do not get injured here. They will do everything in their power including intimidation to get you to not miss work or blame you for it. There is not equal treament. People who are buddy buddy with someone in a position of power are allowed more wiggle room on a policy violation that some one else would have gotten reprimanded for. Huge lack of communication unlike anything ive seen. I would find out the day of that we were working overtime with the supervisor saying-oh, i thought i told so and so to tell you. You have to be 5 minutes early to your area and stay 5 minutes late, but they will not and have not paid anyone for that time. Unless your a supervisor. You cant trust pretty much any higher ups; ive heard alot of stories of people being screwed over because a supervisor told someone incorrect information and then later said they never even talked to them. They dont accept doctors notes even if youve had a surgey or injury, that why i was forced to quit.
