Pros

This is a great place to work. And I’ve worked in MANY hospitals (traveler). For a small community hospital, it’s the best. This is why there are so few RN positions open.

Cons

Grrr the schedule. The schedule comes out so late (like less than 2 weeks before the new month opens). Everyone hates that. We need self scheduling or have longer schedule periods. I think it could be part of their union contract though so, not sure it will change. Only true complaint

As an interpreter, you are treated as a vital clinical partner. CHA’s dedication to serving the underserved is real, not just a marketing slogan. Being per diem offers a fantastic work-life balance while still feeling like part of the "core" mission.

Cons

You are often in the room for very difficult conversations. The hospital is busy, and the workload can be heavy during peak hours.
