Pros

Great training program and a lot of experience gained early on in career.

Cons

Not a lot of horizontal movement opportunity. They hire and train you for a specific function. Don’t want you to move to something else.

Pros

You make $22 an hour starting out as an SMTP. When you move to the field it jumps up to 24 and change. There's a ton of hours so you end up making good money. In Midland we worked 20/10 in the field. I enjoyed the people I worked with. The job is very demanding of your time and it's a good way to get your foot into the door of the oilfield.

Cons

You work for SLB and they don't care about you. There's a lot of extra red tape associated with things. The job is very demanding. The work culture there is extremely strong and you're considered weak if you aren't in line with it.
