Pros

Fun group of coworkers and many social events. Work/life Balance was fine. Recommended if you're about to start a family. Good tech infrastructure.

Cons

Low pay High turn over rate. Very hierarchical and political management. Promotions and compensation are based on personal relationship rather than performance. Mainly uninspiring work, a few good projects quickly run down to the ground by unskilled and hectic project management.

It's very unfortunate to hear about your experience and we hope you were able to share your frustrations with leaders in your office prior to leaving. It’s hard to respond without having more information, but we will say that your experience is not the norm. We work extremely hard to create a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered and has the opportunity to work on inspiring projects. Regardless, we take feedback like this very seriously. Thank you for sharing and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.

We really appreciate you leaving us a review. We’re glad to see you were happy with your salary and benefits and that you found our projects interesting. We do have a robust promotion process in place that takes a number of quantitative and qualitative factors into consideration to ensure equity in opportunities, but we realize not everyone is able to achieve their promotion goals as quickly as they may like. One of the things we stress to employees is the importance of making personal career goals clear so their supervisors can work with them in developing a career development plan. Without this communication and transparency surrounding personal goals, it’s difficult to fully grasp the aspirations of everyone on a team. Thanks again for leaving us feedback and contributing your talents to CannonDesign.
