Pros

You work with industry leaders and experts in any part of the A/E field. Great work/life balance (if you're more junior level, not so much for the senior level people). Leadership is transparent about decision-making and listens to concerns, if you have any Projects are conducted across multiple offices with the project workflow set up to be as conducive to this approach as possible. You are given the ability to choose your own path, whether it's design-related, more technical, or more management-related.

Cons

Inter-office politics can hamper the decision making process and complicate projects and staffing. The design process is often done in a vacuum and can become reactive when considering and coordinating the technical/engineering-related components that make the design work. Senior project members are spread thin on multiple projects and/or pursuits and are hard to track down for project-related guidance. Lower than average salaries
