Pros

Good product discounts, pay is higher than similar Coporate Companies. struggling to think of anything else good about the Company,

Cons

Long hours working nights and weekends. No work/life balance even though the Company says to take your time in lieu there is never an opportunity to get back the time. Very reactive Company, implement last-minute executions that are never thought out. Management does not ask for input from the people on the ground. You are not valued, you are just a number. Do not have the correct tools needed to do your job effectively. Its like musical chairs with the Management (continuously shifting them around)

Pros

* Flexible working allows WFH, flexible hours, and a large degree of trust to work on projects your own way. * Good working atmosphere with lots of friendly people around the business. * Good possibilities of travel if you don't mind doing a bit of extra work. * Good compensation for overtime / days worked (1 to 1 on days, hours and expenses negotiable with bosses, but generally very easy and reasonable) * Excellent new CEO who is empathetic to employees, but also very focused and driven. In summary, there is room to progress once you've learned to "play the game" a bit. It's a great, heavily multicultural business that can afford lots of flexibility.

Cons

* Poor vision and oversight from senior and middle management - leads to very variable teams, with issues rarely addressed. * Terrible, thoughtless and unhelpful HR team who are more interested in each other's gossip than the rest of the company. * Weak leadership means employees can often get pigeon holed or stuck at a level without good guidance on how to progress. * The business is beholden to Canon japan, with an increased presence from Japanese employees on secondment, who regard everything Canon japan does as suitable for Europe, which is short sighted. These colleagues are afraid of returning to Japan having under-performed, so stick to what worked for them previously. This is a poor strategy, but there is little room to challenge it.
