Pros

Develop excellent products - proud to represent quality. An excellent name to have on a resume, as it's large and has a strong reputation, brand recognition. The environmental focus is admirable.

Cons

Poor management, lack of versatility and ability to change with current trends. Not employee focused. Salaries are below what competition offers. Treatment toward employees is less then satisfactory and moral is poor as a result.

Pros

Autonomy at the job and the ability to make decisions are the best reasons to work at Canon. It's a relatively flat structure which gives employees access to senior managers. You're also expected to have a good grasp of all the different functions within the business as there just aren't enough people to work the jobs. As a result, you kind of fill in the holes regardless of what your position is at the company.

Cons

It's a pressure cooker environment - especially as a Japanese company. The roles aren't necessarily defined enough that you get a lot of extra work put onto you. They expect a lot without paying enough or providing enough support or benefits. They don't have enough employees and they're not open to change.
