Pros

I ended up leaving Capco to change the direction of my career. However, I had a great time during my time at Capco, due to some of the following: - Compensation - Upward Mobility (Promotions are based on talent, not seniority. If you work hard and demonstrate the skills for the next level, you can be promoted, no matter what your tenure or age is.) - Leadership (Everyone, including partners are very approachable to anyone. They care about your growth and development and listen to your feedbacks.) - Culture/People (Work hard, play hard. Very social, everyone is friendly, with great happy hours, Christmas parties, charity projects, ski trips, etc. I have met some of my closest friends here.) - Great benefits (Good healthcare, vacation days, and all the other typical benefits such as 401k match) - Flexibility (I requested to have local projects, and they were able to accommodate) - Gorgeous Office (Beautiful location in NY, free drinks and snacks, lot of space)

Cons

Some of the downsides I faced while working at Capco included: - You can get lost in the shuffle if you don't make an effort to get involved in Capco events - You can miss out on some of the networking opportunities if you are in a smaller project or away travelling during town halls, happy hours, etc.

Pros

Great open culture, management and partner level are easy to talk to. A family feel - the company genuinely cares about its people and their happiness Great comms from management about strategy etc Decent salaries Decent benefits

Cons

Interesting roles can be limited You can get stuck on a client account just because you have experience on it - defeating the purpose of being a consultant and being able to try new things

Pros

Like other reviewers, having difficulty meeting the 20 word minimum here. The free snacks downstairs are nice, I guess.

Cons

Every negative review is absolutely true. No choice. No direction. Bad pay. Slap-in-the-face bonuses. Endless pleas to refer unsuspecting friends and family. Inept managers kicked out of other firms. “Innovation” that can be purchased at any print-shop. Horrible to start a career, or continue one. A black hole on any resume, for sure. I've been here for two and a half years and it is absolutely obvious that managers DO NOT CARE about your career or your well-being. A project “opportunity” (read: back-office IT paper pushing) became available two hours from your home? Be there at 7:30 AM sharp tomorrow, no reimbursements; you're local, remember? You're stuck on the bench after your PM couldn't hoodwink the client any longer? Better cancel that vacation you have planned with your family in December – you're using vacation time starting today! Having a baby? Capco doesn't really do maternity leave (two weeks max), so be sure to use all your PTO first! All of the above are real examples that colleagues suffered through, by the way. Get out if you can. Do not take a position here under any circumstances. I would never recommend this body shop in consultancy's clothing to anyone. Just yesterday they announced we're all officially FiS employees anyhow. Pathetic. P.S. Don't trust any of their new tools, like the “anonymous” Upward Feedback tool. It isn't anonymous, and they're using it to weed out anyone who has a negative view of the company (like most do). Honesty is HEAVILY frowned upon at Capco.
