Pros

- Team oriented / little internal competition compared to competitors - Flat org structure - Salary is above national average - Upper management is very involved - HR is helpful with any questions - Promotions are merit-based - Fairly easy to move internally - Plenty of internal training available - Management is respectful, and encourages, a good W/L balance

Cons

- Salary is below Big 4, understandably so as revenue is lower - Difficult to find projects that align to your specific skill set - Bench time can be long, depending on the market

Pros

Great clients and flexibility across domains and capabilities.

Cons

You are expected to do community work which is essentially extra work beyond your project for roundtables. Its free labour and often stressful to handle with projects. Roundtables happen twice a year but are often rigged and do not comply with company policy of ratings. ratings are not tied to your performance but rather company's financial position, your last promotion date etc

We are pleased to hear that you enjoy many aspects of working at Capco, however some of your comments do not ring true. Community work provides an opportunity for employees to get involved in different areas of the business such as training, affinity groups, and CSR. This allows individuals to follow a passion, broaden their network, and develop new skills. A specific percentage of the overall performance assessment is directly linked to Community, which ensures that where an individual has made a contribution, this is recognized and rewarded. However, the majority of the performance assessment is always weighted towards performance in the individual’s core role. Contrary to your comments, ratings are based on an individual’s performance throughout the performance year. Ratings take into account stakeholder feedback and key achievements, and an individual’s performance is benchmarked against their peers in a roundtable to ensure a fair assessment. Where an individual was recently promoted to the next level, it is unlikely that they will receive the top rating in the following performance cycle, given that the performance expectations will have changed based on their new level as outlined in the competency framework.
