Pros

Compensation, Severance Pay, Work Distractions, Mostly Clean Bathrooms

Cons

A few of my colleagues were laid off earlier this year and I was laid off before them. I get that the economy is in depression now, but there are much more constructive ways to deal with those issues like pivoting, reducing hours/salary, delegating resources, doing temporary layoffs. This company is basically a stack of cards waiting to collapse, lacking financial strength and not meeting targets. - Expect ridiculously long project work cycle hours (16+ hour days) - you can't look after yourself and your family - Leadership is too young, inexperienced - like a startup with cool aid thinking - Leadership is dishonest - Chris Ford lied through his teeth about not downsizing - Politics are rampant especially after poorly chosen projects get cancelled prematurely - They waste time hosting silly, pointless internal events and then post them online instead of supporting billable hours

The unprecedented business environment in which we operate currently has placed significant additional pressures on all companies and most are taking remedial action in the form of redundancies or cuts in pay or hours, particularly in the smaller firms. At Capco, we have sought to act quickly, where necessary, to protect our business and ensure it is positioned appropriately for future growth and success. The speed at which we have acted to identify and address issues has, so far, mitigated against significant change in the business and supported business continuity. Nevertheless a small number of changes have been necessary and we have sought to manage these openly and with sensitivity and ensure those affected are properly supported. The positive feedback on pay and conditions at Capco indicates we have succeeded to some degree, at least. Your comments on leadership are unfair and untrue. It is only by leaders facing up to difficult decisions in an extremely challenging situation that we are able to protect our people, clients and the business for the future. We will make no apologies for undertaking this responsibility with fortitude and in the best interests of the firm as a whole. A relatively young leadership operating in a flat hierarchy enables us to be innovative and entrepreneurial in our response to Covid -19 but not dishonest. We have followed the advice of the WHO, government and health authorities to the letter in formulating our response and been open and honest with our people at all stages. We have shifted our focus to ensure work is profitable, sustainable and staffed appropriately ensuring our employees are as protected as possible in these difficult times.

Pros

you get a paycheck twice a month

Cons

Bonuses are average between 3%-10%, difficult to get promoted, for those that do, they get a small increase in compensation i.e. 3%-5% increase in Base salary and 10% Bonus. Projects are all staff aug and very boring work, there is no culture your just another FTE. Their financial situation always seems shaky but its all very opaque....always quick to fire anyone on the bench. Every year they don't pay well and blame it on having a bad quarter. Great place to go if you can't find another job, but don't expect to make a career out of it.

We consistently receive positive feedback regarding our competitive pay practices. We also participate regularly in market surveys to stay abreast of market trends. Our salaries and bonuses are very competitive in the financial services consulting market and help retain our talent. Capo is a meritocracy, focused on the development, advancement and promotion of our people. We look to accelerate progression for our best people and are not bound by a time-served based approach to promotions. At Capco, if you make a sustained positive contribution to the firm, you will have an opportunity to be promoted and advance your career with a well-respected consulting firm. There is an opportunity to engage in a variety of work at the firm and be deployed on varied projects as you build your career. Within projects, we foster a high degree of empowerment and low hierarchy that means junior employees can make a difference at work and have access to more senior leaders. We encourage anyone looking for a rewarding career in management, technology or digital consulting to meet with Capco.
