Pros

Like other reviewers, having difficulty meeting the 20 word minimum here. The free snacks downstairs are nice, I guess.

Cons

Every negative review is absolutely true. No choice. No direction. Bad pay. Slap-in-the-face bonuses. Endless pleas to refer unsuspecting friends and family. Inept managers kicked out of other firms. “Innovation” that can be purchased at any print-shop. Horrible to start a career, or continue one. A black hole on any resume, for sure. I've been here for two and a half years and it is absolutely obvious that managers DO NOT CARE about your career or your well-being. A project “opportunity” (read: back-office IT paper pushing) became available two hours from your home? Be there at 7:30 AM sharp tomorrow, no reimbursements; you're local, remember? You're stuck on the bench after your PM couldn't hoodwink the client any longer? Better cancel that vacation you have planned with your family in December – you're using vacation time starting today! Having a baby? Capco doesn't really do maternity leave (two weeks max), so be sure to use all your PTO first! All of the above are real examples that colleagues suffered through, by the way. Get out if you can. Do not take a position here under any circumstances. I would never recommend this body shop in consultancy's clothing to anyone. Just yesterday they announced we're all officially FiS employees anyhow. Pathetic. P.S. Don't trust any of their new tools, like the “anonymous” Upward Feedback tool. It isn't anonymous, and they're using it to weed out anyone who has a negative view of the company (like most do). Honesty is HEAVILY frowned upon at Capco.

Pros

Some of the ladies in HR are really sweet and seem to have your best interest in mind.

Cons

As other reviewers have said, the entry-level position here is a joke wherein aging, dilapidated partners talk down to you while paying a salary that makes it impossible to live anywhere near the Manhattan office. I want to touch on how awful my experience was at Capco as a woman of color. I joined Capco through the ATP and left less than a year later; I just couldn't take it any longer! The partners in charge of the program were revolting, making passes at all the women ATPers and constantly inviting them to unofficial happy hours (where more suggestive things were uttered). It was totally creepy watching these old, pasty white men virtually drooling at the new, "exotic", young women who had joined the firm. It was obvious they had something completely inappropriate on the mind, as more than one female colleague revealed to me. Cringe. Getting talked down to wasn't uncommon. My first week, one of the most senior partners running the ATP sat me down and demanded that I give him my elevator speech. As I was doing so, he'd interrupt me and say "Listen, listen!" Listen to what? I thought he was joking around, but he was serious! He then asked me if I knew what the word "perception" meant three times in a row... It was absolutely bizarre! It was like he was treating me as a child. These things continued to happen throughout my employment to myself and others. The most discouraging experience was the indifference I received from one of the firm's top female partners. This lady asked me what university I attended; when I told her, she nonchalantly responded "Oh, that's an okay place." How rude! I later discovered she didn't have a college degree, and is known to do this to junior employees often. Pretty lackluster behavior, if you ask me. The mistreatment and gross behavior I witnessed at Capco made me want to leave for a more progressive firm, which I did. I am much happier now, and would recommend that you do not accept an offer with Capco if you're a minority or a woman. It's just really not our scene; definitely more of a boy's club.

Pros

I couldn't even begin to explain how a place like this exists and how such a negative culture forms over time. I have been working here for a little over a year and am currently planning an exit strategy. Its simple to explain to search firms bc they all know of the bad reputation, "horror stories" they say...

Cons

The first word that comes to mind is completely fake...fake in their talk about it being a great culture, fake in their emails about client coming first, and the big jobs their are supporting. FAKE in their acts of caring....If you consider drinks post work, and costly parties- even one at year end that will decrease all our bonuses... Its just a really miserable, depressing FAKE place and the content of work is an absolute joke. A few big name clients that use us as back office assistants
