Lack of job security and business development efforts. Groups are very isolated from each other with very little interaction between offices or teams. Some middle managers actively discourage participation in professional societies. Some middle managers ignore company policies and QA processes to meet project deadlines and schedules. Complete turnover of senior management after acquisition of smaller engineering firm last year. Most of new management team are from acquired firm and personally related to each other by blood or marriage.
