> Capgemini makes it very difficult to change tracks. I was hired as a Software Engineer and then they put me (and most other software engineers who were hired in my batch) into the QA practice within our first 3 months at the company. We were not able to determine our own track. It is very difficult to switch to a new track once you are put in one position. Capgemini allows it, but most clients want someone with experience in the assigned track. It is possible with networking, getting certifications and being in the right place at the right time. However, it is difficult. > Most clients want you onsite. That is okay; however, expect to move around. Capgemini has some extremely stable clients with very long term relationships. However, some client contracts are more temporary in nature. Once the contract expires, you may be asked to move. This was not the case during the pandemic as most positions were remote. Nowadays, expect to relocate.
