Pros

One among the big 5

Cons

All the skilled Management folks have left the company. Currently the senior management is filled with just old people who have no management skills at all. Just because they have experience doesnt mean they have the skills to manage people. i worked with them for 8 years and i have seen better days with them. i felt bad when i resigned but it the worst place NOW to work

Pros

Working at Capgemini is fantastic for a beginner. The Growth Opportunities are immense. For someone who is ready to put in a lot of hours at work, learn fast, act quickly, move up the ladder quickly, this is a fantastic place. One must be a true self learner and self starter to be successful. There are several opportunities to work with different clients. One needs to be completely responsible for his own career track and watch out for himself/herself. There are immense opportunities to perform in stretch roles and prove one's ability to lead a team of both consultants and clients through tough and sometimes hard to meet deadlines.

Cons

While the fast paced work environment always has its side of keeping the adrenaline rush, it takes a huge toll on work- Life Balance. A lot of client holidays might not be observed and hence one will be required to work even when your support staff isn't around. The other way around, if the client works on a day that is holiday for CG, one will still be required to work as client commitment takes precedence. The senior management duly promises another day off, but it is largely forgotten. One is always caught in a war between client commitment vs Capgemini commitment. At the end of the year during performance reviews, you might be penalized for not doing CG requirements, even if you met the client requirement

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on Glassdoor. Your advice to management has been captured and will be shared with the appropriate teams. We acknowledge, sometimes, everyone needs help and guidance in dealing with concerns and a negative state of well-being. We will always strive to support our employees in the best way. Our monthly employee survey allows employees to share feedback, anonymously and confidentially. Employees can reach out to their team leads, people manager or HRBP if the concern needs to be addressed more immediately. And we also offer SpeakUp, a web and phone-based ethics reporting, incident management and advisory tool, hosted by an independent service provider, if that is more fitting to ones needs. Our wellbeing hub offers resources for mental, physical, and financial well-being - along with easy access links to different levels of support.
