Pros

The salary was competitive. The employees were very courteous and professional. The offices were very nice. The retirement fund benefits were incredible.

Cons

Working in the investment offices was much better than the service offices. After the layoffs in 2009, I hear that the culture has changed in IT.

Pros

The twice a year bonus and the 15% yearly contribution into your retirement plan. The managers are are upbeat and treat the employees fairly. I miss working there a lot. There aren't too many companies out there that pay and treat their employees so well.

Cons

They rarely let an employee go so an employee that is not pulling their weight is allowed to stay there for as long as they want/can, which is a disservice to the hardworking people on their team.

Pros

-Great culture where all Associates are treated with respect. -Highly competitive compensation package (bonuses, merit & MRP) -Good work/life balance

Cons

-Highly bureaucratic organization structure -Bureaucratic structure has led to limited or no upward mobility -Key decisions are not made swiftly leading to inefficiency and "analysis paralysis" -Within the Global Institutional Operations (GIO) team, poor portfolio performance led to layoffs and office consolidations -Elimination of 9/80 work schedule in some business units
